Midterm election news

I would have loved to be posting all day, every day for the last month about the upcoming elections and their implications, but obviously I let other things get in the way.

Luckily, there's no shortage of sites to check out if you want to know about more topics than cable news can cheaply report. Some especially worthy of note:

• Josh Marshall & friends have been on fire for the past several weeks at TalkingPointsMemo, TPMmuckraker and TPM Election Central. Go there. (The most recent focus is on reports from many quarters of repeated, automated Republican calls designed to sound like they're from the Democrat in the race; either people get pissed off at the call and never hear that it's from the Republicans, or they stay on the line and hear a bunch of scurrilous BS about the Dem. It's a win-win!... It's against the rules, but they can just pay the scary widdle fine after the election. you can start here and read up to today for all the dirt.)
