Via Bump, Brent Simmons has a Mac news aggregation site up, grabbing Mac news off of several feeds as it's published. Cool.

Spent the last few days moving into the new place (thus the slowdown here).

Highlight of the first day: watching Ubik as he tentatively explored the house. Lowlight: the yowling of both cats deep into the night. Happily, they've calmed substantially since then.

Stamp increase:

First-class stamp to cost 37 cents starting June 30; many other rates to rise as well [AP/Boston Globe]

Postmaster General John Potter repeated his promise that rates won't rise again until at least 2004.

Score one for the 'talent':

Louis Rukeyser will join CNBC [CBS.MarketWatch]

CNBC, owned by General Electric ... said Tuesday that the new show, "Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street," will begin airing April 19 at 8:30 p.m., Eastern time, competing directly on Friday nights against his old show, the long-running "Wall Street Week." ... The show will [also] be shown at 8:30, Pacific Time, on Friday nights and on public television stations in the U.S. for subsequent TV runs.

Rukeyser has also agreed to appear on CNBC programs during the day when big news breaks.
