Made-up stories about big scary Trial LawyersThere's a story circulating in e-mails about how vice-presidential candidate John Edwards is in some way responsible for the flu shot shortage. Wow, wouldn't that be a coincidence! -- and in an election year, too!Not surprisingly, it is false. Professional legend-debunkers Snopes.com are on the case. In fact, the whole idea that a 'liability crisis' is a significant factor in the vaccine shortage is also highly suspect. So, who would write and/or forward such a thing? 1 comment(s) Isn't it interesting that it's ok for the DHHS to go to Canada looking for more flu vaccine (as I heard on NPR on Friday morning), but it's verboten for ordinary citizens to go to a Canadian pharmacy to get their perscriptions refilled? Why isn't Canadian vaccine as "unsafe" as the rest of their drugs?Add a comment... |
