Been making my way through David Allen's Getting Things Done, a book full of productivity advice that Medley's a fan of. He's got a lot of good ideas, and doesn't require you to buy into an expensive system or use a particular gadget to improve your life (which is a real plus for his credibility). Instead he flatters the reader with the (pretty correct) observation that you already have the skills you need to be amazingly productive -- you just need a way to free your mind up so use your existing talents much more efficiently. I'll probably be trying several of his techniques in the next little while. |
