Falsehood from Mr. Winer

Scripting News: On this day in 1999... [blah blah] ...At that time all weblogs were done in Frontier.

Uhhhh, no.

This site was made using [my own scripts inside] Frontier; and I know of a few others, but Frontier did not own the weblog-creation space in 1999. Many, many people hand-coded or had their own home-grown CMS.

I guess the statement could be true if the phrase '1999 weblogs' were redefined as 'sites made with Frontier'...

Mr. Winer has been known to say 'Programmers have a very precise understanding of truth.' Why yes, we do. And his statement is false.
