Pyra, Google

I admit to some bafflement as to why Google would be the one to buy Pyra (makers of Blogger) [Mercury News]. I don't see any gain to Google's search capability that could be worth the money. Many have speculated that Google may want to integrate easy intranet-weblog-creation with its Appliance. I dunno; maybe. For now it's still a head-scratcher.
