permlink I'm back! + the last 10%

Well you know what they say, the last 10% takes 90% of the time...

Welcome to the new improved version of NowThis... I guess this would be version 3.5 or so if I were prone to version numbers.

Movable Type 2.0 is now the underlying tool, and the design has been overhauled more than it seems... for one thing, I'm back to a day's entries being archived together on the same page so they retain some context, just like the old days. Feels good.

Anyhow, I'm sure there are some glitches left in the imported content, and I'll be tweaking little things here and there, but even so it's at least ready to go live. And I'm ready to get back to writing. Hoo hah. See you soon. permlink     8 comment(s)

Steve rules! Can you make it ping weblogs.com when you update?

Thanks, everyone! jjg: Supposedly MT can do the ping thing, I just haven't turned it on yet. I'll do that next...

Am I the only loser who uses Netscape any more? Steve, your beautiful page was half disappeared when I looked at it in Netscape:(

Hm. I certainly didn't intend to leave Netscapers behind, but I haven't tested it either, trusting that a mostly table-based layout + valid code would be safe. I'm assuming you're using version 4 point something? I'll look into it.

In the meantime, consider Mozilla... it's reached the point where it can replace Netscape well for many things and it handles modern page designs much much better. It's still free, and it's still not IE...

Joni: Tossing the funky dotted-borders I had for links seemed to fix it in my copy of Netscape. You? If so, it's OK with me to drop them for the sake of Netscape readers; you weren't the only one showing odd behavior related to them.

I don't see any funky dotted borders, but (and?) am having no problems reading with Netscape. looks nice!
